Skylander OCs: Series 2

With me finally getting Skylanders: Giants for Christmas, I thought another few sets of Skylanders were in order, and I'm starting with the normal ones.

I've been working on these since the beginning of the year.


Rainboom

Rainboom grew up in a bright corner of Skylands amongst her fellow Pandians, she and the other Pandian children were free to play anywhere they pleased… except their village’s sacred rainbow pool. When Kaos brought the Darkness into Pandian territory, all the adults and children fled to new, safe lands. But Rainboom was forgotten and was subject to Kaos’ wrath. She fought with Kaos’ forces to no avail, and accidentally fell into her village’s rainbow pool. Blessed with new powers, Rainboom defeated Kaos’ minions, forcing him to retreat. Rainboom has been both a local hero and a Skylander ever since.

Primary move: Fires a rainbow forward from her hands. More damage with upgrades.
Secondary move: Spins while travelling to create a rainbow ring around herself. Range and damage increases with upgrades.
Special move: Jumps up and creates a rainbow beneath herself to fly on.
Soul Gem: Holding the Primary Attack button makes Rainboom do a rainbow-powered flying kick forwards.


Daphne

Daphne once lived in a remote forest as a graceful nymph, she lived a peaceful life with her clan, playing and hunting as the years went by. One day, however, they were discovered by a sorceress who grew jealous of Daphne’s radiant beauty and turned her into a forest dragon, forcing upon Daphne her banishment. Fortunately for Daphne, her powers had not been taken from her completely and she could still transform into different things, but as it turned out, she could not revert back to her original nymph form. Daphne joined the Skylanders to find a way to reverse her dark curse.

Primary move: Spins around using her wings and tail to damage enemies. Power can be increased.
Secondary move: Transforms into a bay tree which attracts enemies and lowers their defences. With upgrades, the tree can release a damaging seed cloud.
Special move: Digs underground to avoid attacks. Duration increases with upgrades.
Soul Gem: Enables Daphne to gather collectables from beneath the ground.


Shadow Heart

Shadow Heart used to be a peaceful Life Ghost living among the marshlands, his job was to rescue lost travellers by creating lights for them to follow. But when guiding one masked man out, Shadow Heart discovered that he had left a mysterious box behind. Initially, Shadow had not intended to open it, instead he chose to keep it in case the masked man came back. But with each day that past he became more intrigued by the box, as if something was begging him to open it. Eventually, Shadow Heart opened the box, but it released an evil spirit which cursed him to wear an irremovable mask forever.

Primary move: Flies in a circle damaging any enemy he touches. Power can be increased.
Secondary move: Leaves a will-o’-the wisp behind him which distracts enemies. Duration and amount of lights increases with upgrades.
Special move: Breathes swamp gas to stun enemies.
Soul Gem: Holding the Special Move Button ignites the swamp gas.


Cannon Fodder


Cannon Fodder comes from an ancient race that has long been extinct in Skylands. Having been a fossil for millions of years, he was brought back to life through a chance meeting of Earth energy and Life energy. At first, Cannon Fodder was confused by all that had changed in Skylands, but then he noticed something more important – he had lost his right arm during the resurrection! Using the knowledge past down from his long-dead tribe, he constructed himself an earthen cannon which he then fixed to where his right arm used to be. He first turned this cannon on a band of Cyclopses that were attacking some Skylanders.

Primary move: Fires a stone from his cannon. Power can be increased.
Secondary move: Fires several small rocks from his cannon which scatter. Power can be increased.
Special move: Fires a stone rocket upwards which automatically targets nearby enemies.
Soul Gem: Stone rocket can be aimed.


Comette

Comette was lucky enough to be born in the heart of an enchanted volcano, where as she grew up, she trained herself to master the element of Fire. One day, a giant eruption caused Comette to be thrown from her volcano home and into the world of Skylands, which she was absolutely fascinated with. When she was confronted by dangerous trolls, she picked up an abandoned pickaxe and infused it with her fiery powers, making her more than a match for the troll group. When Master Eon found out about this, he invited Comette to join the Skylanders. An opportunity she could not refuse.

Primary move: Swings with her pickaxe. Damage increases with upgrades.
Secondary move: Attacks with flaming claws to burn enemies. Can be upgraded so that a fire trail is left by burnt enemies.
Special move: Launches a fireball from her pickaxe which can be controlled. Duration can increase.
Soul Gem: Fire spreads between enemies.


Tough Cell

Starting off as a mere amoeba, Tough Cell was granted immortality when he freed a powerful genie from its prison. Since he was now immortal, Tough Cell has had to cope with millions of years of evolution, growing new fins and scales until he had ended up as a large fish. But during those millions of years, Tough Cell had meditated and developed impressive psychic powers that now allow him to form himself a new body entirely out of water, which he uses whenever the Skylanders are in need of his help.

Primary move: Produces a long watery arm which strikes forward. Power and range can be increased.
Secondary move: Morphs his body into a ball to roll quickly. Duration and power increases with upgrades.
Special move: Dives forward to avoid danger. Can be upgraded to knock enemies back.
Soul Gem: Regains health while in water.


Sweet Dream

When Sweet Dream was born, three majestic fairies who saw the young princess gave their gifts through good will. One gave the gift of psychic vision, and one gave the gift of magic, but the third was more wicked and doomed the princess with a curse – that on her eighteenth birthday she would fall asleep until awoken by a prince. Eighteen years past and, as promised, Sweet Dream fell into a deep sleep on the morning of her eighteenth birthday. Her father spent the next ten years searching desperately for a prince to wake her, and found only one. Upon sensing the prince’s presence, Sweet Dream woke from her slumber and the prince fell in love with her. But before he could ask her to marry him, Sweet Dream decided to use her gift of magic for heroics instead.

Primary move: Fires orbs of purple magic from her hands. Damage can increase.
Secondary move: Sweet Dream curls up and goes to sleep to regain health.
Special move: Creates a magic barrier in front of herself. Her attacks go through it, enemies’ attacks don’t.
Soul Gem: Holding the Primary Attack Button produces a single large orb instead.


Camera Shy

Camera Shy was produced as a drone for Troll Home Security, he made up one of the lines of defence along with many others like him. When the Skylanders attacked Troll Home Security, Camera Shy initially fought against them, using his arm lasers to fight, but he stopped when he saw many other robots on the side of the Skylanders – Camera Shy had not known any robot to be free-thinking before – It was then when he saw that he had been on the side of evil the entire time and aided the Skylanders in their victory, even though leaving his masters hurt him. Camera Shy now seeks other robots who have yet to see the error of their ways.

Primary move: Fires a laser from one of his arms. Power can be improved.
Secondary move: Makes a flash with his camera eye to stun enemies. Range can increase.
Special move: Uses his arm lasers to create a damaging tripwire. With upgrades, up to three tripwires can be active.
Soul Gem: Holding the Secondary Attack Button summons two other security drones to attack for a short time.
